Words

Our words are so important -

Sometimes we are careless and hurtful with the things we say to others. It is so important to be careful with our words. Words and actions begin in our thoughts, but they are first noticed in the things we say – then the things we do. Believers need to be diligent and noble in the way we treat people with our words.

Here is a saying that shows the progression of thoughts to actions, and ultimately to our character and destiny

         Sow a thought—reap a word
         Sow a word—reap an act
         Sow an act—reap a habit
         Sow a habit—reap a lifestyle
         Sow a lifestyle—reap a character
         Sow a character—reap a destiny

1Pe 3:10 For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.

With Your Words:

Be compassionate
Be complimentary

Be thankful
Be approving
   Be generous

Be loving
Be sympathetic

Be selfless

A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than
an hour of praise after success
