Norway October 2012

We arrived in Norway last night - no bags as they are in London somewhere. Here's hoping that we will have bags soon!

Please pray for our 2 month ministry trip here as we go all over the Southern half of this great country - starting in Kristiansand and then up to Tronheim.

Our first meetings will be to play with an awesome worship/soaking worship team ("New Wine") for the women's conference: Kvinner i Nettverk (Women in Network). Pray for Elin Faggerbakke and her team - they started this conference and ministry throughout Scandinavia about 20 years ago:

Ern Baxter: Thy Kingdom Will Come

A friend of mine sent this portion of a message preached by Earn Baxter in September 1975 at the Kansas City Shepherds Conference:

Thy Kingdom Will Come

"There is none before Him. There is none beside Him. He takes orders from none. He was created by none. He is Life - Self-Existent. There is nothing in Him that should be out of Him. Nothing out of Him that should be in Him. He remembers nothing because He's forgotten nothing. He learns nothing because there is nothing He does not know. He does not need to know because He holds all truth simultaneously. He is the God of the Eternal Now. He can look at human history from the beginning or the end or the middle - for all things are known to Him.

"The Bible tells us that 'The Lord has established His throne in the heavens and His sovereignity rules over all.' (Ps 103:19 - NAS). The marginal note says, 'all' means 'the universe.' God is the King of the Cosmos. Psalm 29:10 says 'The Lord sat as King at the flood; yes the Lord sits as King forever' (NAS) or as another translation says, 'Over the ages.' He is the God who out of His eternal 'nowness' spun the time/space world into existence. He sits outside of it in powerful authority yet He is involved within it in incarnate humility. He is the cosmic King. It is the nature of our God that within the mystery of the plurality of His own Person, there is order. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Or as an old Puritan divine once said, 'God in Himself is a sweet society.'"

You can get the full transcript here: Ern Baxter
...also audio file here: Ern Baxter Sermons
...and also on YouTube - here he is preaching this message:

What a wonderful preacher, man, leader, hero of the faith!

Every worship leader should read this sermon - it is a classic sermon from a true preacher's preacher. Some have said this is one of the most compelling sermons of the 20th Century.

Like A Lion

Check out the video bar (on the bottom right panel). There is a great song written by Daniel Bashta (2010):

Like A Lion

Let hope arise and make the darkness hide
My faith is dead I need a resurrection somehow

Now I'm lost in Your freedom
This world I'll overcome

My God's not dead He's surely alive
He's living on the inside
Roaring like a lion

Let love explode and bring the dead to life
A love so bold to see a revolution somehow

Let heaven roar
And fire fall
Come shake the ground
With the sounds of revival

Baby Girl Worshiping

I got a kick out of this video of Ava Grace Cafarelli worshiping along with her mother - so sweet - she must be an angel:

Apparently this is not unusual for this wee girl:

May we all lift up our hearts to the Lord with passion and purity today!

Matthew 21:16
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise

Pray For Our Nation - Walk In Holiness

Here are 7 strategic foundations of holiness to pray over Our nation as we prepare for the elections. We need a holy Church to watch over the USA:

• Holiness is not an option for the Church in these days. It must become the cornerstone of our faith just as it is the foundation of God’s throne (Ps. 89:14), and we must hunger for it and search for it with all our hearts (Matt. 5:6; Matt. 6:33).

• The Lord will hear the cry of those who are rooted in holiness (Ps. 34:15).

• The authority to declare the Kingdom of God and His reign comes from, and through, a holy people (Ps. 45:6).

• The Church must be clothed with righteousness (Ps. 132:9; Is. 61:10; Rom. 6:13-20).

• Holiness and righteousness will bring peace and life to God’s people (Prov. 11:19; Is. 32:17; Is. 54:14).

• Holiness is the light of glory that will be revealed in, and through this nation (Is. 42:6; Is. 56:1; Is. 58:8) – then God’s people will catch the attention of all nations (Is. 61:11; Is. 62:2).

• Righteousness (not riches or power) will make our nations truly great (Prov. 14:34).

Church: Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. (Hosea 10:12)
