God's Slam Dunk

Ps. 113:3
From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.

I love this picture - God's slam dunk:

Is. 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting
That there is none besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other;

3 Of God's Slam Dunks:

Last night I went to a concert featuring Jackie Evancho - the young girl (I think she is 13 now) who took the singing world by storm when she was on the show: "America's Got Talent" 3 years ago. My goodness - she sang "The Lord's Prayer" with ballet dancers and orchestra last night and I sobbed as quietly as I could. Here is another recording of her singing this song (when she was 11!)...but it still doesn't compare to the anointing that was in that place last night. It must be something to do with being live...Here she is with the incomparable David Foster:

OK...so there was another young girl singing last night (and many other amazing artists) who happens to come from my home city of Sandy, Utah (a part of Salt lake City). Eleven year old Lexi Walker sang the National Anthem at a local Salt Lake Real Soccer game and a video of it was posted on YouTube. It instantly went viral. David Foster contacted this young girl, and she is now on her way to stardom...Last night she sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," and it blew everyone away! A snippet of her singing that song can be found on YouTube...but here she is singing the national anthem...very fitting for Veteran's Day tomorrow:

A five-year-old young girl from Melbourne Australia was also at this event last night. She is a child prodigy painter - Aelita Andre. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but even I can see beautiful combinations of colors in Aelita's abstract paintings - some of which sell for up to $24,000. She painted last night as the concert was going on - cameras gave us updates of her work and she was interviewed at the end. What a beautiful child! There are several videos on YouTube of Aelita painting (some of them have had over 1 million views) - I chose this one as it is a little shorter, and shows several of her finished works:
