Lately I have been reading the Book of Acts. I have been interested to find all the instances of God's manifest presence in the lives of the early Believers. Here is what I have come up with:
In the Book of Acts, there are:
12 Occasions where small and large groups came to Christ
20 Different kinds of supernatural signs, wonders and unusual miracles
9 Healings and deliverances
21 Occasions where the Lord spoke directly to His people through prophetic words, words of knowledge or visions. One of these was through a prophetic act.
2 Instances of God’s audible voice
1 Trance
1 Occasion when Stephen’s face visibly changed (he looked like an angel). He also saw the glory of God
4 Occasions where the Holy Spirit came on people and twice they spoke in tongues
3 Occasions where they were supernaturally released from prison – an angel was involved in 2 of these
7 Occasions where an angel was involved in communicating to, or interacting with the disciples
4 Occasions where the boldness, wisdom and grace of the Believers was noted, and people were amazed
2 Died and were raised to life
3 Were killed by the wrath of God
Book of Acts Part 2: HERE
I enjoy the way you see things. I learn so much from you!!
ReplyDeleteMiss your face!! Come home, soon.
Awwwww Raelynn - that is so sweet! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you also - I would so love to see you and say..."Look Raelynn - there's a fjord!" "Look Raelynn, There's a Norwegian!!"
Ha ha!! That totally made me laugh and I know that's what you would be saying. :)
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Absolutely impressed by the cited instance of Stephen's face having been transformed. With the goal of worship being that WE HAVE CHANGED 2Corinthians 3:18 (drilled by Doctor Hibbert) I am profoundly and humbly struck by the notion that persecution and martyrdom is linked with transformation at least visibly. Has my countenance changed because of my lifestyle of worship experience? U ROCK VIV
ReplyDeleteHey Cory!! I have had bad internet here in Norway until just recently - so I haven't even seen your comment until this moment!!
ReplyDeleteI do believe your countenance has changed because of your relationship with the Lord and your worship!! Indeed! You are a beautiful man! I say that in all sincerity.
Love and hugs
Also love and hugs to you as well Raelynn. I am still shouting out to you..."LOOK RAELYNN!!!" There are so many things to see here. Unfortunately the weather here has been a little dismal all over the country. A couple of sunny days almost made up for the bad weather...almost.
