Psalm 45:10

We are the Bride of Christ - so beautifully pictured in Psalm 45. Verse 10 gives us a glimpse of 3 degrees of listening that will draw our hearts closer to the Lord, our King:

Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear

Listen v 10—To listen with the ear

Consider v 10—To think about what you hear with careful thought

Incline your ear v 10—To be drawn towards the opinion and the speaker - to lean on HIm

—As worshippers, we need to be listeners and give God our full attention.

—As worshippers, we need to be thinkers and give God all of our minds.

—As worshippers, we need to be lovers and give God all of our hearts. It is then, that the promises of vs 16-17 will come to pass.

16 Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons, Whom You shall make princes in all the earth.17 I will make your name to be remembered in all generations

Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.
