  The word “Pharisee” means separate
  or separated. These pious men
  believed that we should be totally separated from sinners – have no contact
  with them. There was no hope for the sinner under the Law.

  Jesus pointed out that she had faith. She found the solution to sin in the
  grace and redeeming acts of Christ.
