He Clothes Us

I am still working on the subject of the Lord restoring our souls - just not quite ready to post as yet.

In the meantime - here are 7 ways we are clothed by the Lord. Each one of these layers represent the character of Christ - we have to "take off" our old nature so that we can "put on" Christ:

• Job 29:14 The robe of Justice - (good judgment) I put on righteousness, and it  clothed me; my justice (good judgment) was like a robe and a turban.

Take off injustice

• Ps. 30:11 The robe of gladness -  exceeding(-ly), gladness, joy(-fulness), mirth, pleasure, rejoice(-ing).
Take off grief and mourning

• Prov. 31:25 Clothing of strength and honor - (Strength in various applications—force, security, majesty, praise) boldness, loud, might, power, strength, strong.
Take off discouragement and small mindedness

• Is. 61:3 The garment of praise - (tehillah) The manifest presence of God.
Take off heaviness— (Heb. keheh kay-heh'; feeble, obscure - somewhat dark, darkish, wax dim, heaviness.

• Is. 61:10 The garments of salvation - also Ps. 132:16 (The word "salvation" means: liberty, deliverance, prosperity:-- safety, salvation, saving.)
Take off old man

• Is. 61:10 - The robe of righteousness  (also Ps. 132:9; Eccl. 9:8)
(Rightness (abstractly), (rectitude), (justice), morally (virtue) or justice, moderately, righteous).
Take off immorality

• 1 Pet. 5:5 - Clothing of humility …be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
Take off pride
