Double gold, double delight as New Zealand's rowers won their finals this morning.
Coxless pair Eric Murray and Hamish Bond smashed through their final frontier, winning the only prize to have eluded them in the last four years as they claimed an Olympic crown. These guys have never lost a race:

Then 40 minutes later, single sculler Mahe Drysdale got the gold that illness so cruelly denied him at Beijing four years ago. He was favored to win Gold in Bejing but ended up in the hospital with stomach flu. He managed a Bronze, but was clearly ill. He has been working for this victory for 12 years:
