Praise - The Fuel Of Our Faith

The Lord desires to put our faith on display. He receives great glory through His sons and daughters as they overcome and remain strong in Him.

So many people are suffering right now – so many things are challenging our faith – yet I remind you (and myself) to remain in praise even in the midst of overwhelming difficulties.

Praise is the fuel for faith – as you praise God, the fires of faith are stoked and faith will grow into a mighty flame inside your heart and will.

I don’t believe that the Lord invents suffering for His children, but He does use the sufferings of life to purify and test our faith so that we can emerge from suffering with greater faith that is more precious than gold.

It is also important to note that in this verse (1Pet. 1:6-7), the word "faith" is used 3 times. Whenever a vets uses a word 3 times, we have to know that this is an extraordinary scripture - one to take very special notice of.

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)

So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.

These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold -- and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Acts 6:5, 8   Praise Him when you are full of faith

Rom. 4:20    Praise Him when you are strengthened in faith

Mk. 5:34      Praise Him when your faith makes you well/whole

Mk. 11:22    Praise Him when your faith is in God

Lu. 17:6       Praise Him when your faith produces miracles

1Tim. 6:12   Praise Him when you fight the fight of faith

1Pet. 1:7      Praise Him when your faith is tested (Heb. 11:17; Jas. 1:3)

2Pet. 1:5-8   Praise Him when your faith is built up

1Cor. 13:13  Praise Him when you abide in faith

Heb. 12:2     Praise Him when He finishes/completes your faith
