Prophetic Worship Is....

The students at our school, the Worship Arts Conservatory, are studying prophetic worship this month. One student just wrote this definition of prophetic worship, and I just had to put it here for all to see:

Prophetic Worship definition:

Prophetic worship is when our focus and desire for God supersedes the flow
charts and we are all touched by hearing and seeing God express Himself to us
as we make our love and honor declarations to Him. As he responds, heavenly communication begins.

We end up in a place of revelation, wonder and a new understanding of who God is
and what current thing He is saying to us. It is where we learn to worship more,
listen intently and look to see God more clearly.

Pardon, but this just came flowing out as I continued to meditate on prophetic worship.

-Prophetic worship is like: stepping under a waterfall

-Prophetic worship is like: jumping into a river already flowing and following the current without struggle

-Prophetic worship is like: hearing the voice of one seldom heard, but with such a longing to hear it

-Prophetic worship is like: taking off our sunshades on a bright day and seeing everything so clearly

-Prophetic worship is like: eating the proverbial potato chip that makes you just want another

-Prophetic worship is like: the place where you and I belong

-Prophetic worship is like: the place where we can hear God’s truth ring in our hearts

-Prophetic worship is like: an altar to express our love and appreciation to God

(Thank you Deloris)
