Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth ll

Today is the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth ll. I join with all from the Commonwealth and well-wishers from around the world as we celebrate her 87th birthday.

Over 1,000 soldiers, horses and musicians took part in the "Trooping the Color" ceremony:

 Other royals attended the celebrations:

Cute Animals

Well...today is my birthday, and I have been busy enjoying friends, family and fun - planting flowers and setting up flower baskets...so...here is another stash of cute animals:

Deut. 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you.

Matt. 11:28
Come to Me. all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Prov. 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

Ps. 94:18
If I say, "My foot slips, "Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

Eph. 5:27
that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle
or any such thing. But that she should be holy and without blemish

Ps. 18:48
He delivers me from my enemies.
You also lift me up above those who rise against me.

Matt. 6:9
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.

Rom. 15:5
May God, help you live in complete harmony with each other -
each with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other.

Easter Sunday

"The stone was rolled away from the door,
not to permit Christ to come out,
but to enable the disciples to go in."
 [Peter Marshall]

Easter Sunday is my spiritual birthday. 43 years ago I accepted Christ as my Savior during communion at our Presbyterian youth camp. What an awesome day that was! For the first time in my life, I felt like I was truly "home."

Now my brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world are just like family for me, and life in His kingdom is more natural to me than if I was back in New Zealand, the nation of my birth.

I join all Believers on this great day, and shout across the internet:

Jesus is alive!

Welcome Him into your heart today

"I am the resurrection and the life,
He who believes in Me,
though he may die, he shall live.
And whoever lives and believes in Me
shall never die
John 11:25-26
