Turning by the Hand of God

The Lord is turning our hearts and lives in so many ways in these recent days. So many people are finding their lives shifted about, and in the process of change. I encourage you to place everything into the hands of God - He can be trusted to guard your life and bring you into His perfect will and plan. Here is a list of twelve things He is doing in His Church, and in our hearts - 12 foundations of His restoring grace:

- He turns our curses into blessings - Neh. 13:2

- He turns our sorrow into joy - Esther 9:22

- He turns our mourning into joy - Jer. 31:13

- He turns our mourning into dancing - Ps. 30:11

- He turns our darkness into light - Ps. 18:28

- He turns our wilderness into pools of water - Ps. 107:35 (Is. 41:18)

- He turns our wilderness into vineyards - Hos. 2:14-15  

- He turns our trouble into doors of hope - Hos. 2:15

                                                          

- He turns our captivity into prosperity - Amos 9:14

- He turns our hearts toward our children and our children towards us  - Mal. 4:6

- He turns our disobedience into wisdom - Lu. 1:17

                                                                   

- He turns hearts back to His presence - 1Ki. 18:37

From The Psalms - 20 Blessings That Come From Trusting God

The Lord is such a comfort to us throughout the Psalms – every emotion is expressed and the Lord draws so close. He proves over and over again that there is nothing too hard for Him, and no place that His hand cannot reach. His hands are full of blessings – here are 20 blessings that can be found in the Psalms – these blessings will come to us as a result of trusting in Him-

20 Blessings from trusting in the Lord—Psalm:

2:12   Many blessings (84:12)

5:11   The Lord defends you

7:1   The Lord will save you from persecution

9:9-10   The Lord’s presence is with you in trouble

13:5   The Lord will give you joy and dancing

16:1   The Lord will preserve you

17:7   The Lord saves you from your enemies (37:40)

18:2, 30   The Lord becomes your shield (115:9-11)

20:7   The Lord gives you confidence in battle

22:4-8   The Lord delivers and rescues you from your enemies

91:2   The Lord becomes your place of refuge

31:19   The Lord’s goodness is prepared for you

37:3   The Lord will give you a safe dwelling place and you can feed on His faithfulness

37:5   The Lord will answer your prayers

56:11   The Lord will free you from all fear (Ps. 91:2-10)

73:28   The Lord will give you a great testimony

91:3, 10  The Lord will deliver you from all evil and deadly diseases

119:42   The Lord will fill your mouth with wise answers for all who taunt you

125:1   The Lord will give you long-lasting stability

143:8   The Lord will cause His voice and guidance to be with you in the morning

…and this is the central verse in the entire Bible – it is about trusting in Him:

Ps 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.

Blessings From Obedience

Blessings that come from obedience:

• It will go well with you and your children—Deut. 12:28; Jer. 28:20; 42:6; Acts 6:1–2

   • God will bless you—Deut. 15:5–6; 28:1–6

   • You will be God’s special and holy people—Deut. 26:16–19; 28:9

   • Your enemies will be defeated and will flee 7 ways—Deut. 28:7

   • You will prosper at everything you set your hand to—Deut. 28:1–14; Job 36:11

   • You will have rain for your land–Deut. 28:12

   • You will have finances enough to lend to others—Deut. 28:12

   • God will put curses on your enemies—Deut. 30:7

   • Your rulers will follow the Lord—1 Sam. 12:14

   • God will be our God, and things will go well for you—Jer. 7:23; 11:4

   • God’s heart will turn towards you—Jer. 26:13

   • People from far away will come to build the house of the Lord—Zech. 6:15

   • You will be a friend of God—John 15:14

   • You will have the Holy Spirit given to you—Acts 5:32

   • Your obedience will lead to righteousness—Rom. 6:16

   • You will receive salvation—Heb. 5:9
