The Holy Spirit Is God

I am continuing with a few postings this week on the Holy Spirit. Today we see that the Holy
Spirit is just as much God as the Father and Son.  It is important not to speak of the Holy
Spirit as "It" - that is    just so disrespectful - He is God. Take time over these days to worship
Him - talk to Him - call on Him to be near.

Nine Truths That Prove The Holy Spirit Is God

1. He is Eternal and self-existent, yet one with God and ChristRom. 8:2; 2 Cor. 3:3; Heb. 9:14. He has always existed.

2. He is Omnipresent—Ps. 139:7-12. He is everywhere.

3. He is Omniscient—Job 32:8; Jn. 14:261 Cor. 2:10–11. He knows everything.

4. He is Omnipotent—Gen 1:2; Lu. 1:35; Acts 10:38. He is all-powerful. The Holy Spirit participated in creation and continually gives life—Gen. 2:7; Job 33:4; Ps. 104:30; Rom. 8:11

5. He is the Divine Author of the Bible and prophecy—2 Pet. 1:21; 2Sam. 23:2–3; Is. 6:8–10

6. He is Holy—1 Cor. 6:11; 1 Peter 1:2. The holiness of the Spirit purifies   Christians.

7. He is True—John 14:17. The Holy Spirit is truth as Christ is the truth (1 John 5:6)

8. He is Glorious—1 Peter 4:14. He is the ‘spirit of glory and of God.’

9. He is called God and is equal with the Father and the Son—Matt. 3:16; Jn. 14:16; Acts 5:3–4; Eph. 2:18; 2 Cor. 13:14
