Prophetic Word For 2016 From Isaiah 52:7

A word for us all in 2016:

Is. 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!”

7 Observations:

1. Mountains - often refer to nations – also churches and centers of God’s presence. God is focusing on some specific nations for this year. Strategic meetings will set the stage for revival in certain nations that will touch every continent. People who have never traveled are going to be thrust out in short-term missions and see great effectiveness.

2. Feet - God is giving us increased authority - dominion in the places we tread this year.

These feet are beautiful on the mountains: "beautiful" (Strongs 4998) na’ah – this word is only used 3 times in the Bible to describe: holiness Ps. 93:5; cheeks Song 1:10; feet Is. 52:7

3. Good news...God is going to use us in greater measure to proclaim the power of His Gospel this year.

4. Peace - this not only means peace as we know it...but the prosperity and blessing that accompanies the Gospel. Increased blessing and prosperity for 2016.

5. Good news of good - we are the bearers of good news - happy news - positive messages proclaimed into the hearts of His people this year.

6. Publishes salvation - unusual circumstances coming this year - people you have been praying for over many years will come to salvation in 2016! Friends, relatives, neighbors and work mates. Expect significant breakthroughs!

7. You will say to Zion: "Your God reigns!" "Zion" represents the worshipers - those who love His presence. This is the mountain where David established his tabernacle of worship for all nations. The Lord wants to rule in the hearts of His worshipers in greater measure this year - some territories to conquer once and for all. He is giving you renewed authority to speak into these areas and be a champion for champions!

God Counts

The Lord counts so many things that have to do with our lives. He is totally acquainted with everything that goes on in, and around us. Here are all the things that God counts it is interesting to note that 7 of these concern the details of our lives and 7 of them concern the world and universe we live in:

• Job 14:5 He counts and numbers all of our days Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.

NLT - You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer.

• He counts all of my steps: Job 31:4 Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps? (Job 14:16)

• He is able to count the clouds: Job 38:37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,

• He counts the months and timing of every birth – even the animals: Job 39:1-2 Or do you know the time when they bear young?

 

• He numbers our wanderings and the journey of our lives: Ps. 56:8 You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?

• He counts the stars: Ps. 147:4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

Abraham couldn't count the stars:

Is. 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.

NLT - Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out one after another, calling each by its name. And he counts them to see that none are lost or have strayed away.

• He measures the waters: Is 40:12 He measures the waters in the hollow of His hand

• He measures the heavens: Is. 40:12 He measures heaven with a span

• He counts and measures the dust: Is. 40:12 He calculates the dust of the earth in a measure

• He weighs the mountains: Is. 40:12 He weighs the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance

• He has counted every hair on our heads: Lu. 12:7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. (Matt. 10:30)

• He counts those who are worthy to escape the weight of sin and stand before the Lord: Lu. 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (2Thess. 1:5, 11)

• He counts those who are faithful: 1Tim. 1:12 [ Glory to God for His Grace ] And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,

• He counts those who are worthy of glory: Heb. 3:3 For this One (Jesus) has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.

The Lord does great and wonderful things that are beyond counting and finding out:

Job 5:9 Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number.

Job 9:10 He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number.

Job 36:26 “Behold, God is great, and we do not know Him; Nor can the number of His years be discovered.

Ps. 40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.

So....Don't be afraid - He has EVERYTHING under control. There is NOTHING that can happen without His knowledge and consent. He is Lord of this world and EVERYTHING in it. He is Lord of our lives and EVERYTHING that happens to us.

The Lord Surrounds Us...

It seems to me that the Lord surrounds us with these things:

-The favor of the Lord surrounds His people and makes a shield of protection completely around their lives: Ps. 5:12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

-There are songs of deliverance (plural) that surround every Believer - these songs dig us out of trouble, keep us on track and make a place for us to hide - what a God!! Have you ever stopped to listen to God's songs over you? Ps. 32:7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

- The mercy of the Lord surrounds all who trust in Him - Ps. 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

- The Lord surrounds Jerusalem and all of His people - so much so that He is like a mighty mountain in His strength and protection. Let it be noted that His surrounding is forever. It is not going away - just as the mountains are secure and stable - Ps. 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.

- The Lord has made sure that we are surrounded by the righteous - those who will stand with us to help and encourage us in faith - Ps. 143:7 Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.”

- There are countless Believers who have gone to glory ahead of us - these surround us as a testimony to God unfailing love and enormous grace - Heb. 12:1 [ The Race of Faith ] Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

The Lord is surrounded by these two things:

- He is surrounded by His faithfulness - Ps. 89:8 O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You

- He is surrounded by clouds and darkness - Ps. 89:8 Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

The Lord Manifests His Presence In The Mountains

God manifests Himself to us such a variety of ways and places – over the next few days I am going to look at some of the places He has shown Himself through the Word:

God is found In The Mountains —To Reveal His Grace

In the word, mountains are places of revelation where God meets with His people over significant events. As Believers, we have “mountain top” experiences with the Lord where He seems to be particularly near. Unfortunately we cannot stay here – we need to learn the lessons of His near presence and allow deep roots of His presence to grow in our faith so that we can draw on Him in the future.

We are not taken up mountains to gain experiences

But to see Jesus

Here are 7 mountains in the Word where the Lord revealed His supernatural or manifest presence:

• Horeb—The Law of God Ex. 3:1; 4:27; Deut. 5:4; where God appeared to Moses in the burning bush. Horeb may be the ancient name for Mount Sinai (Acts 7:30, 38). Horeb is also the ancient name of Mount Sinai

Sinai—Ex. 19:18–20; 24:16–17; 31:18; Deut. 33:2; 1 Ki. 19:11; where God appeared to Moses and the children of Israel and gave His people the law. It is also the mountain where the Lord appeared to Elijah in the wind and the earthquake.

• Carmel— The fear of God 1 Ki. 18:19; where God appeared to Elijah and the prophets of Baal as a fire upon the sacrifice.

• Moriah—The power of God 2 Chron. 3:1; where God appeared to Solomon and all of Israel when His glory descended in the midst of their worship (2 Chron. 7:1).

• Zion—The presence of God Ps. 50:2;Ps. 102:16; Is. Isa. 4:5; 12:6; Zech. 2:10; the mountain where God dwells, reveals His glory to His worshiping people, and shines out to all the earth forever.

• Olives—The anointing/return of God 2 Sam. 15:30–32; Zech 14:4; Lu. 21:37; Jn. 8:1

• Transfiguration—The glory of God (possibly Mt. Herman or Tabor – a high mountain in Galilee) Matt 17:1–9; Mk 9:2; Lu. 21:37; Jn. 8:1; Where Jesus was transfigured in the sight of His disciples, and where He will stand on the day He returns to this earth and split the mountain in two.

• Calvary—The saving grace of God Mk. 15:22; Lu. 23:33; Jn. 19:17; where the Son of God was lifted high and took the punishment for the entire human race for all time

GOD IS WITH US IN THE MOUNTAINS:

Song 2:14 “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.”
