Six-Week Course - Discovering Prophetic Revelation and Deep Secrets in God's Word

I am teaching a six-week course for Eagles International Training Institute.

Wednesday evenings: May 1st to June 5th @ 7 PM (Cst)

This course is designed to train you to find revelation and secrets in the Word. We will study several different angles as we search God's Word for secrets and revelation.

God shares His secrets with:

1.   Those who fear Him - Ps. 25:14   The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.   Job 29:4

This is one of the key verses in the Bible on the fear of the Lord. Walking in the fear of the Lord means personal relationship, confidential intimacy, and true fellowship. The fear of God is not about being afraid of Him, or staying further away from Him…it involves knowing Him, worshiping Him and obeying Him. His secrets are with the righteous, as with his dearest friend. It is an honor to be trusted with a secret. As we fear the Lord, we move into deep inner secrets of God’s covenant relationship.

2.   The righteous - Prov. 3:32   For the forward (wicked) is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the (uncompromisingly) righteous. (Amp)

…the Lord hates people who do evil, but he takes righteous people into his confidence. (Good News Trans.)

Jesus also said: Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. (Matt. 5:8)

God is holy, and those who want to come near to Him and learn His secrets must be holy. (Psalm 24:3-5 – Who can ascend…stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart…)

3.   His prophets - Dan. 2:19   Then was the secret revealed to Daniel in a night vision... Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

The Lord actually revealed a secret to King Nebuchadnezzar, but he was too wicked to understand the secret. It was the prophet Daniel who had to interpret the secret for him (Dan. 2:8). Daniel also said that the Lord reveals deep and secret things to those who have understanding (Dan. 2:21)

In short, the Lord reveals His secrets to righteous prophetic worshipers

Genesis to Revelation

I am the Alpha and the Omega,
The Beginning and the End,
The First and the Last.”
Rev. 22:13

Sometimes it is interesting to read the beginning of the Word with the end in mind…

• In the beginning of the Bible, God created the heavens and the earth – in the end of the Bible God creates a new heaven and new earth (Gen. 1:1; Rev. 21:1).

• In the beginning of the Bible, total darkness covered the earth– In the end of the Bible total light will flood the earth (Gen. 1:2; Rev. 22:5)

• In the beginning of the Bible, the first words ever heard were from God - spoken into creation, “Let there be light” – in the end of the Bible, the last words spoken are from the Lord to His greatest creation - the Bride: “Surely I am coming quickly.” (Gen. 1:3; Rev. 22:20)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God began time with a morning followed by a night – in the end of the Bible we will live in a day that has no more night. (Gen. 1:5; Rev. 22:5)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God created a beautiful garden for man – in the end of the Bible God has created a beautiful city for man. (Gen. 2:8; Rev. 21:2, 10)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God created mankind out of the earth – it was a corruptible body – in the end of the Bible mankind has a new, incorruptible body and lives forever. (Gen. 2:7; 2Cor. 5:1)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God created mankind in His image – In the end of the Bible God has formed mankind in His character (Gen 1:26; Rev. 19:7-8)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God told mankind to rule and have dominion over the earth – in the end of the Bible God calls mankind to reign with Him forever (Gen. 1:28; Rev. 22:5)

• In the beginning of the Bible, God told Adam and Eve and all creatures to “Go” and multiply – in the end of the Bible the Spirit calls the Bride to “Come!” (Gen. 1:28; Rev. 22:17)

• In the beginning of the Bible Adam and Eve hid from the (face) presence of God – in the end of the Bible all of nations and tongues come before His face (Gen. 3:8; Rev. 22:4)

• In the beginning of the Bible, Adam and Eve were naked – in the end of the Bible, mankind is clothed in white garments and nakedness is covered (Gen. 3:7; 2:25; Rev. 3:18)

• In the beginning of the Bible, mankind is banished from the tree of life (Gen. 3:24) – In the end of the Bible mankind is invited to the tree of life (Rev. 22:1)

Paul's Prayer For The Glory Of God

God has given such a hunger for His glory. I think Paul's prayers in Eph. 1:17-20, and Eph. 3:14-19 are similar to the cry from Moses in Exodus 33:18 where he cried out to see the glory of the Lord. Reading these verses in the Amplified Bible today has affected me deeply. What an extraordinary prayer - read it slowly and meditate on it phrase by phrase - there are incredible secrets here - secrets that will take us to the deep and intimate knowledge of Him - the One we love:

Ephesians 1:17-20 (Amplified Bible)

The goal - to have revelation of God's glory - to see Him:

17[For I always pray to] the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,

The process - we have to have the eyes of our hearts flooded with light:

18By having the eyes of my heart flooded with light, so that I can know and understand the hope to which He has called me, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),

The result - then we will know and understand - something of the extent of his glory:

19And [so that I can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for me who believes, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

The evidence of God's glory - the risen Savior:

20Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],

21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

The conclusion of God's glory - all things are under His feet for now and all eternity:

22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],

23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself]

Overcomers

I have always been fascinated with the concept of overcoming – with all my heart, I want to be an overcomer in God’s Kingdom. The Book of Revelation declares 8 things that will happen for those who overcome:

Overcomers will eat from the tree of life
Rev. 2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

Overcomers will be saved from death
Rev. 2:11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”’

Overcomers will receive heavenly manna and a new name
Rev. 2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”’

Overcomers will be given power to rule over nations
Rev. 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

Overcomers will be clothed in white garments and presented before the Father by name
Rev. 3:5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Overcomers will become pillars in God’s house and He will write His name on them
Rev. 3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

Overcomers will sit with King Jesus on His throne
Rev. 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Overcomers will inherit all things and will be known as sons of God
Rev. 21:7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

Father – may we be worthy of these things – may we be pleasing to You – may we overcome as Jesus overcame - may we sit with You and worship You for ever – Amen!
