Canton, Illinois

Hi everyone - we are heading off to a worship conference in Canton, Illinois today. Please pray for Canton over the next few days:

Update:

OK - we packed and made it to the airport - only to find out that a monster storm is coming in to Chicago and NO PLANES are going to that airport (or any in the north) over the next several days! We have no way to get to Canton and have come home a little dejected. The only benefit is that we will have a few more days with Spencer (the most adorable dog in the world) before leaving for Norway in a couple of weeks.

We should still pray for the church in Canton...may they have fresh hunger for the presence of God - even though they did not get their worship conference...

Spencer

Our delightful wee dog, Spencer (actually he's not really a dog) has just been diagnosed with intervertebral disk disease. In short, this is a problem with the area surrounding the spinal cord and causes severe pain and possible paralysis.

We took Spencer to the E.R. last night and he is on pain meds, anti-inflammatory drugs and bed rest for the next 4 weeks. Hopefully the disc will heal itself, otherwise surgery is the only option.

Please pray for Spencer - he is the cutest and most lovable wee dog you could ever meet.

Spencer as a baby - This is the first day we had him:
