7 Things - The Word Of God

Here are seven wonderful statements about the Word of God

1. God's word is written and inspired by Him - 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God

2. God's word is living and powerful - Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...

3. God's Word will stand forever - Is. 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of God stands forever

4. God's word is perfect as it is - nothing needs to be added or taken away from it - Ps. 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect (also: Rev. 22:18-19)

5. God's word always accomplishes what He pleases - Is. 55:11 So shall My Word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

6. God's word cleanses and sanctifies Believers - Eph. 5:26 ...that He might sanctify and cleanse her (the Church) with the washing of water by the word.
