The Secrets of God - Part Three

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Proverbs 25:2 

The Lord delights in us as we seek Him for His treasures and secrets. Here are the main reasons God has secrets:

1. Deut 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

So that through the revelation of God’s secrets and plans we would know His ways and learn how to be obedient.

2. Ps. 27:5-6   For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Ps. 91:1

His secrets are our protection against the enemy.

3. Isa. 45:3   I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

So that we would have confirmation of His Lordship.

4. 1Cor. 2:7   But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden  wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory (for our glorification,  that is, to lift us into the glory of His presence.  Amp.):

So that we might be filled with the likeness and Glory of God.

5. 1Cor. 2:8   Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

So that the devil, his angels or ungodly leaders would not know the great plans of God and stop them.

Seek the LORD while He may be found,
call upon Him while He is near.
