Proverbs 6:16-19 - 7 Things God Hates

Here are seven things that God hates:

These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

A proud look,

A lying tongue,

Hands that shed innocent blood,

A heart that devises wicked plans,

Feet that are swift in running to evil,

A false witness who speaks lies,

And one who sows discord among brethren.

Message

Here are six things GOD hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion:

  eyes that are arrogant,

a tongue that lies,

hands that murder the innocent,

a heart that hatches evil plots,

feet that race down a wicked track,

a mouth that lies under oath,

a troublemaker in the family.

1. Pride, arrogance (the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others – Amp.)

2. Lying

3. Murder of innocents

4. A heart that plots wickedness

5. Willingness for evil

6. False witness – one who lies under oath

7. One who sows disunity and trouble within families
