Here is another little snippet from the book of Proverbs:
Seven Results of Disobedience (Law) in Proverbs 1:26-28
- Calamity: I
will laugh at your calamity (Proverbs 1:26)
- Fear: I will mock when your terror comes (Proverbs 1:26)
- Storm:
or whirlwind: When your terror comes like a storm, And…a whirlwind (Proverbs
1:27)
- Distress: When distress and
anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:27)
- Destruction: when
your destruction comes like a whirlwind (Proverbs 1:27)
- Anguish: when anguish comes upon you (Proverbs
1:27)
- No
Answer: then they will call,
and I will not answer (Proverbs 1:28)
...and here is another list of 7 attributes of wisdom found in James. James parallels so many issues from the book of Proverbs:
James 3:17
But the
wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
Gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits
Without
partiality and without hypocrisy (NKJV)
But the
wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure.
It is
also peace loving, gentle at all times,
and willing to yield to others.
and willing to yield to others.
It is
full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality
and is always sincere. (NLT)
