Impossible!

This is very interesting - The first mention of the word "impossible" in the Bible (NKJV and KJV translations) is found in Matthew. In fact, it is Jesus who uses this word first:

Matthew 17:20

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief;

for assuredly, I say to you,
if you have faith as a mustard seed,
you will say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it will move;
and nothing will be impossible for you.

When you look for the word, "impossible" in other translations, you will find other verses in the Old Testament - basically these verses prove that:

nothing is impossible for God!

This verse in Matthew 17:20, shows us that:

nothing is impossible for us!

So the Old Testament teaches us that nothing is impossible for God - the New Testament teaches us that nothing is impossible for us. Because of what Jesus has done on our behalf, we are able to aim for the impossible. All we need is to have faith as small as a mustard seed, and we will be able to speak to our mountains of impossible things and see God do wonders.

Luke 1:37 "...For with God nothing will be impossible."
